Join Chef Lish Steiling for a family cooking class. join Lish via Zoom on December 4, 2020, and cook along with your Family!
All Ingredients and suggested items to have on hand are as follows:
For the chicken:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 chicken thighs, about 2 1/2 pounds
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
- 1 small red onion, diced
- Stalks of 1 fennel from below, chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 (28ounce) can whole San Marzano tomatoes, crushed by hand
For the salad:
- 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
- 10 leaves basil, torn
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup shaved parmesan cheese, with a vegetable peeler
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
To serve:
- 4 (1 inch thick) slices sourdough bread
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Kosher salt, to taste
