Join Chef Lish Steiling residence hall friendly cooking clans where we will create a Charcuterie and Cheese Board. join Lish via Zoom on November 6, 2020 @7:00 PM, and cook along with your Mountaineer Family!
All Ingredients will be provided, and students are suggested to have the following on hand:
- 2 small glass bowls to mix and heat
- 2 small pretty bowls
- Rubber spatula
- Spoons
- Microplane – for zest
- Side towel
Lish is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and for over 24 years has worked in the culinary arts and food service industries. For the past seven years she was the VP of Culinary Operations and Production for the Food Network celebrity chef, Giada De Laurentiis. In 2020 Lish won an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Culinary Program’ for being the culinary producer for Giada Entertains.
Her career began in restaurants before she moved on to become a food stylist and recipe developer for Food Network, New York Times, Gourmet magazine and the Today Show, where she was a food stylist for five years.
She competed on the Food Network show, Chopped, and walked away with the win. Lish has also been featured in the book Chef’s Ink and Elle Sweden magazine for her unique food tattoos and recipes. She was recently a guest judge on Food Network’s Vegas Chef Prizefight.
Together with her wife, Abbey Cook, Lish is soon launching a personal project, The Taste Curators, where Abbey and Lish will showcase the beauty and similarities of food and design around the world. “We want to shed a light on how similar we all are in this crazy time of separation. Often it is the everyday things that really bring us together.”
